Student Affairs
The main goal of any higher education institution (HEI) is to make a student competent in all spheres of education. To reach this goal, our institution provides the necessary facilities to the students. Student Services conducts various programs to meet their needs. Orientation Program for all the first-year students on the reopening day of the college every year to introduce the college atmosphere to the freshmen Student Services also conducts parent-teacher meetings every year. A committee headed by the principal, which consists of various faculties and senior and junior students, is constituted to prevent ragging on the campus. Every year, a meeting will be conducted, and the members of the committee will take adequate steps to ensure zero ragging on campus. Student Services assists the students in participating in various academic and cultural competitions conducted at other colleges. At the end of every academic year, Student Services receives feedback on the academic activities, facilities, and examination pattern from all the final-year students through a proforma, which is helpful in framing the syllabi. The final-year students are also asked to evaluate the faculty of the concerned department. Grievances can be made online through the grievance form.
The management took the initiative to set up the Students Support Services Cell under the student affairs department from its inception to cater specifically to the needs of the students in soft skills, entrepreneurship, and counseling and to maintain their mental health. The cell consists of one staff counselor from each of the departments to monitor the personal, academic, attendance, and financial problems of the students in their respective departments.
The heads of the department were solicited for the type of skills to be imparted to their students in the soft skill training. Further, the placement officer trains the staff on the requirements of the curriculum as well as on the basis of placement expectations and career guidance.
