Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
Internal Quality Assurance Cell acts as a quality sustenance measure in every HEI. It focuses on continuous improvement of higher Education Institution. Quality enhancement is a continuous process the IQAC will become a part of the institution’s system and work towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The most important task of the IQAC is to develop a system for consistent, conscious, and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the Higher Education Institution. Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Jeppiaar College of Arts and Science was established on 2nd March, 2022, composed of IQAC coordinator & department in charges who work unified for the overall quality improvement of the college as per the recommendations made by NAAC.
Objectives
- To perform various activities like quality management to sustain and improve the quality parameter in various activities taken place in the college
- To provide suggestions and recommendations for conducting special lectures, seminars, and conferences by the departments
- To assure quality teaching - learning process and documenting various activities and achievements of faculty members and students
- To evaluate students' feedback for reformation in academics and for quality improvement
- To monitor the activities of various committees and cells
- To prepare Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR), National Institutional Ranking Framework Data (NIRF) and All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) based on the quality parameters
- To advocate institutionalization of quality enhancement policies and best practices
- To channelize all efforts and take required measures of the institution towards promoting its holistic academic excellence.

- Enhance faculty qualifications: Implement strategies to improve the faculty’s academic qualifications, such as encouraging Ph.D. completion.
- Revise curriculum: Periodically revise the curriculum to ensure it aligns with current knowledge and skills.
