Jeppiaar Courseware
Implicit in our policy for inclusive education and development is our open courseware, content and culture. Courseware contains learning materials developed for the courses of Commerce, Management, Computer Science and Languages which are free and accessible.
The College has so far developed e-content for all the courses. It is the repository of learning materials as well as self-assessment tools. Even though there is lot of courseware available (MIT, NPTEL), this courseware has been developed by our faculty keeping the JAS student in mind. It is very interactive, and available in easy-to-understand format: PPTs, Video Lectures, Notes, Presentations, Subjective and Objective Questions, Solved Question Banks and Interactive Assessments. So, it is context specific. The material is especially prepared for slow learners, and those who have learning difficulties. The material will help the average student avoid a backlog in any subject. The flexibility in the learning space permeates anytime, anywhere learning.
The Jeppiaar Courseware is in the nascent stage, and subject to constant revisions. The main aim is to facilitate e-learning and lifelong learning. The most noticeable in this, is the transformation of teacher-centric to learner-centric, open education concept. Further, this transformation gets reflected in the shift from instructor-based learning to technology-based learning. The JAS also develops video materials of classroom lectures. Such videos are uploaded in You Tube and are accessible.
